* I was looking at two litter soda bottles. If you cut the top and bottom off it looks like they would make a perfect tree tube. They are clear which would also give them maximum light. Also have you tried using any of the led grow lights instead of the fluorescent ones? What are your feelings on these two things?

* I purchased 2 packages of catalpifolia and a package of elongata and you inserted instructions in the order that explained how to get the seeds started. In the instructions it states they germinate by light and to use a certain type of light and not to use sunlight along with the artificial light. The question I have is why can’t or shouldn’t you use sunlight and artificial light to get them to germinate. Can you explain why we can’t use the sunlight along with the artificial light?
